My Beautiful Pencil

Description

The narrator receives a beautiful, colourful pencil from his grandmother only to have it stolen by a senior boy at school.  The story explores the experiences of the boy with two of his teachers as they work to recover the stolen pencil. It also depicts the role of teachers as our parents at school and the need to trust them as learners. Learners need to share their happy and sad experiences with their teachers even as we also need to acknowledge the need to take good care of our belongings.
