Educational Business Services (EBS) is an educational company which supplies schools with educational materials ranging from textbooks to other materials that support learning.
We also intend to work with schools to promote the culture of reading among learners.
On this note, therefore, EBS wishes to supply and administer school mobile library book boxes to schools for learners to read.
Age of Learners
For a start, the book drive will focus on learners aged four to fifteen years old (4 – 15 yrs).
Languages
Books will be in Sesotho and English.
BOOK BOXES PER SCHOOLS
Books will be supplied on a rotational basis for learners. On average, a learner will be given one book per week – which means four books per learner per month.
Books are kept at the school and administered to learners by the school.
Books will be rotated by EBS in three to four months per year.
Schools will indicate a month earlier whether they need to rotate book boxes.
Books will be issued to registered schools only.
Schools will be expected to confirm two weeks before the month beginning issuance of books.
A minimal fee of M20.00 per learner for 6 months, and M40.00 per school per year will be paid to cater for administrative expenses.
Any book lost or destroyed is charged a levy of M20.00 to get a replacement copy.
MOBILE LIBRARY
Books will be supplied on a rotational basis for learners. On average, a learner will be given one book per week – which means four books per learner per month.
This means EBS will visit the school once a week to administer issuance of library books to learners/members of library society.
A minimal fee of M20.00 per learner for 6 months, and M40.00 per school per year will be paid to cater for administrative expenses.
Schools will indicate the day that EBS should bring books to schools and learners choose readers.
No books are kept at school.
If a learner loses or destroys the book, M20.00 will be charged as levy to replace the book.
